CryptoWorks21 Distinguished Lecture

We are very fortunate to have Marc Morin as our guest speaker for the CryptoWorks 21 Distinguished lecture series (3) on 27 November 2018. Marc’s lecture encompassed  his personal story / journey as a serial technology entrepreneur – the “war stories” and what he learned from them. The mistakes he made and the things he got right.

ETSI/IQC Quantum-Safe Workshop 

The 6th ETSI/IQC Workshop took place in Shanghai, China on  6-8 November 2018. It started with an Executive Track on 6 November, followed by an in-depth technical track on 7-8 November 2018.

CrytpoWorks21 Events

On 6 November 2018, the members of the CryptoWorks21 program are invited to join Martin Wildberger, Executive Vice President, Innovation & Technology, for an exclusive tour of RBC’s Cybersecurity Lab at University of Waterloo. They learned about RBC’s Innovation & Technology team, the new initiatives they are working on (and that they could have the chance to work on!) and network with members of the team.RBC is the lead industry sponsor of the CryptoWorks21 program.

TQC2018

The Conference on the Theory of Quantum Computation, Communication and Cryptography, was held in Sydney, Australia on 16-18 July 2018.  This was the thirteenth in a series of conferences that aims to bring together the leading researchers in the areas of quantum computation, quantum communication and quantum cryptography.

CryptoWorks21 Distinguished Lecture (2)

We are very honoured to have Tajinder (Taj) Manku to speak in the second series of the Distinguished lecture hosted by CryptoWorks21 on March 26, 2018.  Taj shared his humbling experiences  and the lessons he learned about starting a company.

QIP2018

QIP 2018 was hosted by QuTech at Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands. It  featured a tutorial program, plenary talks, contributed talks, and a poster session, and took place on 13-19 January 2018 in the Aula Conference Centre

Standards Council of Canada (SCC) Standards Workshop

CryptoWorks21 at the University of Waterloo together with representatives from the Standards Council of Canada (SCC) and the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI), are proud to present a lunch-time standards session.  It was held on Thursday, 11 January, 2018 at noon in Lazaridis Quantum Nano Centre, QNC1201.

CryptoWorks21 Distinguished lecture (1)

We are very fortunate to have Sherry Shannon-Vanstone to give the kick-off lecture.  The evening lecture series is to complement the more curriculum-based IP Management lunch-and-learn series that CryptoWorks 21 hosts monthly. This lecture was held on Tuesday, 9 January 2018 at 7:00pm in Lazaridis Quantum Nano Centre, QNC0101.
