The transition of information and communication systems to systems that resist quantum attacks will require a broad workforce of experts capable of building the fundamental tools, integrating them into systems, managing the migration, making appropriate risk management decisions, and more.

Quantum-Safe Canada will work to expand the current university-based programs and work with appropriate partners to develop new programs to address gaps within other key segments of the Canadian workforce.

CryptoWorks21 Training Program

Thought leaders within Quantum-Safe Canada have since 2012 been running the CryptoWorks21 training program that is geared towards university graduate students and postdoctoral researchers, and already spans four universities across three provinces with supporters and partners at over a dozen institutions across Canada and worldwide.
